Peer Support Group Co-ordinator

Our Peer Support Group Co-ordinator will help us develop a network of face to face and online peer support groups for survivors of bereavement by suicide across Cumbria. They will be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers who facilitate the groups, helping to promote the groups and to support running of our Facebook support group and other resources. We are particularly keen to recruit someone who has personal experience of suicide bereavement and who understands the value of peer support.

Suicide Safer Schools Project Worker CLOSED

Amazing opportunity alert! We’re recruiting a Suicide Safer Schools Project Worker to support delivery of a schools based suicide prevention training programme with pupils, parents and parents, as well as co-production of programme materials.

We are one of a small number of organisations delivering suicide prevention training within school settings at scale. Our work will contribute to a growing evidence base demonstrating the impact of prevention training and whole system approaches in schools, and will support the growing momentum of calls to include suicide prevention with the national curriculum.

Training Marketing and Development Co-ordinator CLOSED

We are now recruiting a Training Marketing and Development Co-ordinator who can work alongside our existing training team and their delivery expertise, with a very specific remit of developing the reach and size of our income generating training offer including;

  • Developing a mental health training offer for the private sector within Cumbria, and further afield.
  • Developing the reach of our suicide prevention training across the UK.
  • Promoting uptake of our Licensed Training Programme and Training for Trainers (TFT) programme.

Project Administrator CLOSED

We need to recruit a new Project Administrator who can provide support to our suicide safer community project workers, our trainers, our suicide bereavement staff and our schools team, as well as supporting some central admin and management tasks.

The role will be a mix of regular project support tasks such as data entry, resource distribution and so on alongside an ever-changing range of tasks related to whatever project activity happens to be going on at the time.

Associate Trainers

Every Life Matters is the leading provider of Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Training in Cumbria.

The majority of our Suicide Prevention Training is externally funded and free of charge to Cumbrian organisations and individuals. Every Life Matters team of Associate Trainers also has extensive experience of delivering Mental Health Training in a wide variety of contexts. We offer both accredited and bespoke packages at competitive prices.

Our Suicide Safer Community Programme seeks to raise awareness of suicide, and the part we can all play in saving lives, through training, campaigning, grassroots action and local leadership.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and successful charity, and to be part of a committed and passionate team of staff working to make long term change to Cumbrias suicide rates. We need a highly organised individual, with excellent networking skills, who can manage a diverse and constantly changing workload and who has an affinity to our charities mission. We are particularly interested in applicants who may have digital marketing, website and social media skills and experience, though training can be given in this and all other areas of the role.

We have some flexibility around the numbers of days the new postholder could work. We are looking for applicants who can work a minimum of 3 days but this could be extended to 4 days for the right applicant.
