Suicide Prevention Lessons in School Survey

As part of the introduction of compulsory suicide prevention education on the curriculum from September 2026, Every Life Matters is exploring how best to support schools in delivering this vital content.

We are currently re-designing our pupil education sessions in formats that suit different time slots and can be delivered by either Every Life Matters or Schools’ staff. This would include two assembly style sessions, and two more in-depth 45-60 minute lessons, focusing on;

    • Understanding suicide and where to access support
    • Supporting a friend who may be having thoughts of suicide

These sessions would be made freely available to schools who are participating in our Suicide Safer Schools Programme. And we’d really appreciate your ideas on how we can make the programme most impactful for your school by completing this short survey.
